28. Buyers providing sellers’ details

There are no restrictions on who can sell a property, as long as they have legal ownership rights to the property and are willing to enter into a sale agreement.

If you are unaware of the seller's details, it is not necessarily a hindrance to the transaction process. However, providing the seller's details to your conveyancer can streamline communication and facilitate the legal aspects of the property purchase.

Provide the seller’s conveyancer details to your conveyancer

Obtaining the details of the seller's conveyancer is beneficial. It allows your conveyancer to establish contact and collaborate effectively with the seller's legal representative. This ensures that all legal requirements and obligations are met, minimising the risk of delays or complications in the property purchase process.

If you are unsure about which conveyancer the seller is using, it is not a significant concern. Your conveyancer can assist in obtaining this information by liaising with the seller directly or through their estate agent. This proactive approach helps facilitate communication and ensures a smooth transaction for all parties involved.
