06. Property Title Register

The Property Title Register is an official document maintained by the Land Registry in England and Wales that provides essential information about a specific property. It contains details regarding the legal ownership of the property, any restrictions or charges affecting the property, and other relevant information related to its title.

You can find the Property Title Register for a property by conducting a search through the Land Registry's online portal, known as the Land Registry Online. Alternatively, you can request a copy of the Property Title Register through a conveyancer or solicitor handling a property transaction.

Accessing the Property Title Register allows you to verify the ownership of a property, review any legal encumbrances or restrictions affecting it, and obtain key information necessary for property transactions, such as sales or mortgage applications.

It's important to note that while some information from the Property Title Register may be available for free online, accessing the full register and obtaining official copies may incur a fee from the Land Registry or through third-party services.
