23. Buyers’ details for sale transaction

Edited

There are no restrictions on who can purchase your property, as long as they are legally capable of entering into a contract and meeting any financial obligations associated with the purchase. Your buyer can also be a friend or family member.

If you do not know the buyer's details, it is not necessarily a problem. However, providing the buyer's details to your conveyancer enables them to initiate communication with the buyer's conveyancer, exchange necessary documentation, and facilitate the legal aspects of the property sale. This helps ensure that all parties are informed and aligned throughout the conveyancing process.

Provide the buyer’s conveyancer details to your conveyancer

Providing the details of the buyer's conveyancer allows your conveyancer to establish contact and collaborate effectively with the buyer's legal representative. This ensures that all legal requirements and obligations are met, and any potential issues or concerns can be addressed promptly during the conveyancing process.

If you are unsure about which conveyancer your buyer is using, your conveyancer can help you obtain this information. They can communicate with the estate agent or directly with the buyer to identify their conveyancer and initiate contact to facilitate the property sale.
